Sesame Green Beans
Great as a side dish or in a salad.

  1. 6 cups string beans, trimmed
  2. 6 Tbl sesame oil
  3. 2 Tbl sesame seeds
  4. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  5. 1 Tbl cane sugar
  6. 1/2 tsp ginger
  7. 1 Tbl rice or cider vinegar
  1. Trim beans by removing the stem and cut into desired length or leave whole.
  2. Steam beans until tender, about five minutes.
  3. In large skillet, heat the sesame oil.
  4. Saute the sesame seeds until golden.
  5. Add the turmeric, sugar, and ginger and stir for one minute.
  6. Add the beans to the skillet with the vinegar.
  7. Stir until combined.
  8. Serve hot or cold.
